In April we went to the Kansas City Temple open house. Our girls are so good when they travel with us to the temple every other month. Since moving to Iowa the closest temple in Nauvoo. That means a three hour car ride each way. It isn't always the funniest trips, but the I know our girls know it is important for us to go to the temple. And, of course, they would like to go inside. So we took the opportunity to attend the Kansas City temple before it's dedication. It was a really quick trip, but I think it was worth it.
As Mariah said, "This hotel is paradise." Obviously we haven't stayed in enough really great hotels with them before. They loved the fountains and the glass elevators. I would move to the Embassy Suites if it was possible. Breakfast cooked hot every morning by someone who isn't me. That is my idea of Paradise! We got in late Friday Night and then went swimming the next morning. Then it was off to the open house.

We went to the temple on Saturday. It was a busy day. We didn't have to wait long to get through the movie and introduction of the temple, but we did a lot of waiting while touring through the temple. I believe that my children enjoyed themselves, but I was a wreck trying to keep them (mostly Lindsay and Cora) from climbing on things where they shouldn't be when we had a five minute wait in the creation room and nearly every room after. The Celestial Room was beautiful and everyone agreed it was there favorite. Mariah liked the sealing room. It was a fun trip.
