Just a little catch up before I even try to explain what the last few weeks have been like. July went by so quickly. On July 1,
Matt defended and passed his dissertation defense!!! We are so proud of him. After that everything is just a blur.
July 2 we went to the
dairy farm. It was our third time there, and perhaps the best. My girls liked the cows, but not the smell.

The fourth of July. Our last year in the VA parking lot with friends. It's nice to know doctors.

We decided to celebrate our
cars birthdays. On July 10, ten year ago, Matt bought our Cadillac. It has been a great car and turned 20 years old this year. We have so many memories (good and bad), but hope it makes it at least one Iowa winter. The van turned 10 years old this year. We celebrated with a yummy dessert and by giving the cars a good washing. We wanted to go to the drive in, but they were showing a vampire movie that I didn't think my girls were old enough to see.

We went on another tour to ride a mini
train in Moberly, MO. It was great to take Matt with us. Lindsay absolutely loved the "choo choo." After, we went out to lunch at a local restaraunt. We wanted somewhere good and not fast food. Before entering we inquired a group of ladies on their way in what they thought. It came highly recommended and kid friendly. We ate a good lunch and found out when we went to pay our bill that the lady we talked to had paid for our lunch and tip. It left us feeling grateful all day for a random act of kindness.

Ruthie proudly showing off her sunflower that she planted this spring. Mariah got in on the action too.

Our last day in Missouri. More on the move later, but here are some photos in front of the house right before we left.
