You don't have to look to close at this picture to see all the spots on Lindsay. They were all over her arms and legs too. They were extremely itchy! We noticed them about a week before we moved (right after she had gotten over hand, foot and mouth). After a trip to our pediatrician in Missouri she was diagnosed with a , "I don't know what it is, maybe spider bites, they should go away and if not let me know." Not very comforting to hear for parents who are already busy packing and cleaning and now are getting up every night to watch their child itch for hours (even with the Benadryl and hydrocortisone).
When we arrived here, our first Sunday at church, a pediatrician in our ward saw her and diagnosed her with Folliculitis. After trying a home remedy for a few days and having them get worse, a quick trip to the insta-care confirmed she had something and we started a dose of antibiotics.
No luck. They stuck around, although we thought there was some slight improvement after she stopped taking the drugs. Then last week we notice she is losing most of her fingernails and toenails. Another trip to a doctor to confirm that she still had something, but the fingernails were probably not related. She will just have to lose them all and new ones should grow back.
To top it off, last week Ruth, Lindsay and Matt (his first week of teaching - not fun) all had fevers. Mariah had to stay home from school today because she is running a fever. So far, the 30 week pregnant lady is the only one well, and that isn't saying much.
The good news, the fever seems to have helped Lindsay's spots go away. She only has a few left and they don't seem to be as itchy. This has been over 6 weeks of illness and we hope it is the end. It is so hard to watch your child be so miserable and not be able to do anything about it.

Oh how miserable--I'm so sorry you've had to deal with all of that on top of moving, unpacking, & adjusting:( Hope everyone is on the mends!
Pregnancy, sickness, and moving! Crazy! I'm glad things are settling down and that Lindsey's spots are starting to go away. Hope you all get better soon!
