Has one year really already passed? I have tried so hard to enjoy every minute of it - but that still doesn't make time go any slower. We have cuddled, smiled, laughed, slept and cried through this last year. Cora is walking (and climbing) everywhere. She loves to play Peek-A-Boo and tag. She also has recently learned to drive cars around and play with a ball. A few of her favorite words are Mama (of course), Dada, Hello, Thank You, bye-bye and ball.
We started off Cora's birthday with our first (and only - so far) snowfall of the year. The snow was wet and heavy and made great snowmen. Lindsay and I had these two finished in about 20 minutes. The birthday girl was there with us, but let's just say she was less than impressed with her first trip in the snow.

We had a family party to celebrate. It was honestly my favorite party ever. We ate dinner, had cake and then each older girl came up with a game that they thought Cora would like to play (ie ring-around the rosie). It was short, sweet and fun.

Opening Presents
How Cora really opened presents - she had a little help.

Her favorite gift.

No problem with the cake. It's like she has done this before (oh wait - she has. The babysitter gave her a cupcake a month before her first birthday at the direction of Cora's sisters who said - oh yea, Mom lets her have sweet stuff all the time. Good thing Cora is the fourth child.)
