May top 5

Here are a few fun things that has made May such a busy and fun month!

1. We decided to move Lindsay into her "big girl bed". She has had a hard time adjusting, but seems to be getting better (at least at night).

2. We found a turtle in the garage. Lindsay was fascinated and learned to say Turtle. Sadly, we had to let Pete go the next day, but we hope he finds a safe home and stays away from lawn mowers.
3. Had to take Ruth to the Dr. office to have her ear looked at. Lindsay had pushed the tail of a comb (the kind that you use to part hair) down Ruth's ear and possible broke the ear drum. While there Ruth threw up in the waiting room. I have never had an office visit that quick before. They really wanted us gone. She is recovering nicely and hopefully can get her ear wet in a few days.

4. It shouldn't even surprise me that Lindsay provided me with my very first ER visit in my life. Last Thursday she was riding on Mariah's back and fell off. Her arm was still really sore on Friday so I took her to the Dr., who, after seeing swelling, sent me to the hospital across the street for ex-rays, who sent me to the ER at the hospital across town. After an entire day (THANK YOU So much to Emily and Lisa who watched my other girls so they didn't have to hang out in the ER), we left with a pink cast (because it looks nicer than the splint I thought we were getting) and a happy girl because she got a Popsicle. TWO YEAR OLDS AND CASTS DO NOT GO TOGETHER. On her it is a lethal weapon and any water that is nearby seems to jump on it. I have been trying for days to get a good picture.

Day One: She was hiding behind the door.
Day two: Proof that the cast is a lethal weapon and the she is a very quick girl.
Day Three: the duck and run approach
Day four: I finally just waited for her to be asleep and took her picture. She looks so angelic!

5. For most of you this isn't news, but since I have left most of the relaying of our exciting news to our children, some of you probably haven't heard that WEBB #4 is on the way and will be here the first part of November. It might not be the best timing, but definitely not the worst. I am almost over being sick and hopefully we will be settled into somewhere in Iowa long before the baby comes.

I feel for Lindsey, but I will say I agree that it is a lethal weapon. I took quite a few hits in nursery, so I can't imagine what you all are going through living with it. I'm glad for your sakes it's only for a week.

Congrats, Holly! How exciting. I can only imagine what damage Brecken would do in a cast so I feel for you!

I love all the motion pictures of Lindsey. So great with her little cast and definitely hasn't slowed her down.

Congratulations! Happy news about a new little one.

CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so excited for you. #4 seems to change the whole family dynamics - at least for us. Glad you are over the sick stage. Your family look wonderful!
