Happy Birthday Mariah

Mariah had a birthday during spring break too. She turned the big 7! This has been a great year for her. She is becoming very independent. She has learned to read whatever she wants and is a BIG help with Lindsay and Ruth. She was very disappointed that her birthday was not during school, but we made it up by doing birthday donuts the next Friday at school and having a friends party the same day. On her actual birthday she opened family presents and we celebrated with root beer floats.

We had a "hula" themed party. It ended up being a very nice day so we played outside with our "hula hoops." We ate Hawaiian Pizza and fruit salad in a watermelon bowl (Mariah's favorite). No pictures of the cupcakes, but I ended up frosting them in bright colors and placing a drink umbrella in the top. Very cute and easy!
