I really think that I like this day because I have children who are old enough to want to celebrate it and yet young enough to still love me.
Mariah made this pretty Mother's Day wreath at school. She was most proud of the wrapping job (not shown, sorry).

Ruthie made me this hand in Nursery. (said NUR-SUR-EEEE, If you don't get it correct she has you say is again and again and again.)

My biggest dilemma is letting Matt cook dinner for me. To do it or not to do it, that is the question; Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the extra time it will take for him to cook the meal while I watch the children for said time or suffer the sling and arrows of outrageous fortune and cook another meal in my home? I don't have a good answer.
So, I finally decided it was mothers day and I took a nap-a long one- and when I woke up, Lindsay was still asleep and my other children were playing quietly in the backyard and Matt was cooking dinner and I got to blog. It all lasted for a few minutes and then Lindsay got up, the food was done, the eggs needed to be finished and the table needed to be set. Oh well, maybe the nicest thing about being a mother in being needed.

I agree with you about the low expectations. It made this Mother's Day much more enjoyable this year! I had the same dilemma about dinner. In the end I determined it was much nicer to prepare dinner in peace and quiet. But that nap thing sounds even better.
That was sweet
Happy MOther's Day. It sounds like you had a pretty nice, relaxing day!
