Matt took Ruth with him to school on Monday. While looking at google news, Ruth saw a picture and told Matt it was Barack Obama. Needless to say, Matt was a bit surprised that our two year old knew that. I guess that's what happens when you live in a state where every other commercial is for Barack Obama. He is very well known with the two year crowd in our house.
The next morning I was in the van and decided to question Ruth.
Me: Ruth, who is Barack Obama?
Ruth: He lives in Washington. It's broke.
Me: Do you know who John McCain is?
Ruth: NO.
A few day later I questioned Ruthie again.
Me: Who is John McCain?
Ruth: He's ours! Not Barack Obama.
Me: Good girl.
You can never start too young is all I can say.

Okay, so funny! We gotta get a TV! Better yet, we gotta get a Ruthie! Wait!...We have one! So cute Ruthie! Way to go!
I will forever laugh about this story. I love it.
Dang right. I have to tell Laura she needs to stop watching so much FOX news and a little more PBS. We need a 12 step program at this house.
That is so funny!! Amazing what they pick up on --and scary too. We've been asking our kids questions too as they have shared things from school...hmm....
