January Birthdays

Ruthie and I both have birthdays in January. This year Ruth wanted a friend party, which I reluctantly agreed to, only if she had a Hawaiian theme because I had all the stuff already. So, we did a luau in Winter. It was great. The next day, her actual birthday, we ate left over cupcakes and sang Happy Birthday a few more time.







Usually I don't celebrate mine because we party on my half birthday. However, after two years of having "forgotten" my half birthday, Matt desperately needed to do something to make this year better. He made me french toast for breakfast (my favorite) and we had brownie sundays for desert. Why do I have a purple bow in my hair you ask? Because I have four girls who leave bows all over my house. When I see one that needs to be put away I place it in my hair so I won't forget it. The sad part is I usually forget about it being in my hair until bed time. Some days I have left the house with multiple bows in my hair. Time to put a mirror by my garage door. I actually have a number of pictures of me with a random bow in my hair. My life....
